2.5D fiber laser marking machine

2.5D machine introduction

The Z axis on 2.5D laser machine is responsible for adjusting the focal length of the center circle point on the processing plane, as the engraving depth changes, the Z-axis will do fine-tuning of the following depth so as to achieve precision micro-machining fields such as relief and small-format micro-hole machining.

From technical part, we called it 2.5D laser machine, because its laser head still with a 2D laser head, but 2.5D laser machine has equipped with motorized lifting pillar. And the galvo head can be controlled by the software. Software can control laser head move when machine working, so it can achieve 3D relief. it means 3D laser, Z axis mirror inside laser head to move back and forth; 2.5D laser, Z axis stands for the third mirror to move automatically.

2.5D fiber laser machine can finish all 2D fiber laser work and can make 3D relief on flat metal surface. But 2.5D fiber laser machine can't make 3D relief on curved metal surface.  

This machine can do 3D relief on a variety of metals, such as stainless steel, carbon steel, various alloy steels, tool steels, hard alloys, aluminum alloys, chrome plating, nickel plating, zinc plating, various grinding, polishing metal surfaces, etc.

Configuration of the machine:

1,Laser source

Laser source is core component of laser machine, laser will come out from it, we use Raycus and JPT laser source for machine, the 2 brand are the best laser source brand in China.

you can choose the power according to your work.

30W is used for making.

50W is used for making, depth engraving and can cut max 1.3mm, better for less than 1mm metal.

60W is used for making, depth engraving and can cut max 1.6mm, better for less than 1.3mm metal.

80W is used for making, depth engraving and can cut max 1.8mm, better for less than 1.4mm metal.

100W is used for making, depth engraving and can cut max 2mm, better for less than 1.5mm metal.


2, Laser Galvo head:SG7110

There have X and Y mirror inside of laser head, the function of laser head is change the direction of laser beam to get different design, we use stable quality Sino galvo brand.


3, F-theta lens

F-theta lens control the working area, our standard lens use 100*100mm, also have 200*200mm, 300*300mm can choose. The 3 lens all can do marking, if you need to cut or depth engraving, pls choose 100*100mm lens. Laser on 200mm and 300mm lena is weak.


4, Ezcad control board

This is laser control board, we use Original Ezcad3 software, support 3D engraving.


5, Protective glasses

Protect user’s eye when laser working.


6, Foot Switch

The remote switch, which control by foot, instead of marking button in laser software.


7, LED light

Light nearby laser head, which can bright up your workpiece.


8, Allen wrench


9, Rotary Device (optional)

Rotary device for ring (max.65mm Diameter), If u want marking inside and outside of ring and bracelet, you need this jewelry rotary device.

①Plate holder can fixed materialIn this way, it can be ensured that the material will not move during processing. And the machining accuracy is ensured.

②When you cut, if you put the metal plate directly on the workbench, you can't see whether the bottom has been penetrated by laser. It is impossible to determine whether it can be cut off.

③If you put it directly on the workbench, when the laser penetrates the material, it will be directly marked on the workbench.


The difference between 2D and 2.5D

1, 2D machines need to shake the column by hand, while 2.5D machines do not need to, there is a motor on the column, so 2.5D machine is easier to find the focus, reduce the error, it is also very easy to operate the machine, only need to measure the height from the bottom to the workpiece can find the focus, and then entered into the software so that we can also facilitate the operation.

2, 2D fiber laser machine use EZCAD2 as machine control board, While 2.5D fiber laser machine use EZCAD3.

Precautions for machine maintenance

1, When the machine is not working, cut off the power supply of the machine.

2, When the machine is not working, cover the field lens to prevent dust from polluting the lens.

3, The circuit of the machine is in high voltage state during operation. Non professional personnel

4, should not repair it when starting it to avoid electric shock.

5, When the equipment is used for a long time, the dust in the air will be adsorbed on the lower

6, surface of the lens. Gently wipe the surface with a long fiber cotton swab or lens paper. Replace the cotton swab or lens paper every time.

7, During the operation of the marking machine, do not move the marking machine to avoid damaging the machine.

8, Do not cover, stack or put other items on the marking machine, so as not to affect the heat dissipation effect of the machine.
