The common fault and processing method of laser welding machine
1. Incomplete penetration problem
a. Laser power is weak, please resetting your pulse width and current.
b. Laser beam is Out of focus, please adjust the machine into right focus position, when the laser out of focus, the power is weak.
2. Cracks appear on welding objects.
a. The airflow of protection gas might be large, please reduce the airflow.
b. Please clean your workpieces to avoid foreign substance.
c. The solder gap might be too large to weld, you can improve your workpieces accuracy or use welding wire to repair your mold.
3. The laser power weakens when machine working.
a. the cooling water is polluted or has not been replaced for a long time.
Please change it to distilled water every month, and clean the xenon lamp.
b. Focus lens and metal cavity might be broken, please contact engineer and confirm the problem.
c. The main laser optical path is out of the track, contact the engineer to adjust the optical path and reflective lens.
d. The laser doesn't come out from the center of the copper nozzle below the focusing head, adjust the 45-degree reflective lens position and let the laser come out from the nozzle center
e. The shutter does not fully pop open, please check and add lubricant to the shutter connection.
4. The weld seam color is dark.
a. The direction of the protection gas is wrong, it should be opposite to the direction of motion of the workpiece.
b. Turn on argon gas as protection gas
